The Avedis Zildjian Company announced the introduction of the Greg Hutchinson Artist Model drumstick to their Artist Series line of drumsticks. Mr. Hutchinson is well known for his work with a number of world-renowned jazz Artists including saxaphonist Joshua Redman

The Greg Hutchinson Model features a long taper and an elongated oval wood tip. This design allows for increased rebound and controlled attack, yielding great overall sound from all instruments. The oval tip also produces a warm and dark tone on ride cymbals. The long taper of the stick combined with the longer than usual length provide a great feeling throw to the stick. The stick measures 16 1/8 inches long and is 0.580 inches in diameter. Greg's Model also features his own unique HUTCH logo in Purple. The stick is constructed from 100% US Select Hickory at the Zildjian Stick Factory in Moundville, Alabama.

According to Zildjian's General Manager of Drumsticks, John Sorenson, "Greg has designed a stick with great versatility to swing the band, yet also producing the strength and projections to push the music."

Greg, whose other recording and live credits include Diane Reeves and Roy Hargrove joins the already impressive lineup of Artist Series Models including Dennis Chambers, Vinnie Colaiuta, Bill Stewart and Terri Lyne Carrington.

List price on the Greg Hutchinson Model is $14 per pair.
