The popularity of its 'Quiet Tone by SABIAN' range of Drum Mute/Practice Pad models has prompted SABIAN to introduce new rubber practice mutes for drums and cymbals. The Practice Disc for snare and tom configurations, and the Cymbal Mute for hi-hats and all cymbal variations are highly resilient and responsive black, cell-foam rubber pads that offer players a wide range of practice and performance opportunities at greatly reduced volumes. Flexible and unbreakable under normal playing conditions, these pads are ideal for players ranging from beginner and student to touring professional.

Said SABIAN product development manager David Loendorf: "Practicing is a popular pastime for drummers. The Quiet Tone Practice Disc and Cymbal Mute offer the most efficient and price-effective means with which players can practice without real volume. The Practice Disc simply lies snugly on the head of a drum, while the Cymbal Mute sticks to the cymbal by way of a re-useable adhesive backing. The adhesive enables the placement of the Mute on the top of the cymbal, where it can be played on directly, or under the cymbal, so the cymbal can be played as usual, only minus the volume. Players welcome this feature as their technique isn't sacrificed for silence."

The Practice Disc is available in a full range of sizes including 10", 12", 13", 14", 16" tom sizes and 14" snare. They are also available in the pre-packaged Fusion Set (10", 12", 14", 16") and the Classic Pack (12", 13", 14", 16").
