Self-described "loopaholic" John "Skippy" Lehmkuhl has created a new drum loop library. The new product is titled Skippy's Noizbox, and follows Lehmkuhl's hugely successful "Skippy's Big Bad Beats."

"This new library balances the cool and funky message of Big Bad Beats with something a little more `amped up,"' says ILIO's Mark Hiskey. "Skippy's Noizbox has more processed elements with an aggressive Euro attitude. The grooves are solid and inventive, and will keep the house pumping well into the wee hours!"

More than half of Skippy's Noizbox is more than 120 BPM, and the library features a creative palette of Hi and Mid-Fi sounds, woven together in Lehmkuhl's unmistakable style. The library is also 100% Groove Control-activated, allowing users to manipulate all the sounds and groove design any way they prefer.

Every groove is provided with several different mixes, and they have also been separated into thorough "Construction Kits," for both the Standard and Groove Control loops. When you play all of the elements together, you can recreate the Full Mix version of the loop, with no missing parts, a rarity for Construction Kit libraries.

The Groove Menus on this collection will also impress users. Just load up a desired tempo and lay your hands on dozens of sample-locked grooves. The library allows users to layer as many grooves as they want to create their own mix.

Skippy's Noizbox is available as follows:

    • CD-Audio - $99
    • CD-ROM - $199 for Akai and Roland (Includes Data CD with exclusive Soundfinder system and .WAV files. Giga, E-mu and Software Sampler compatible.)
