HAYWARD, CA— Recording King is proud to unveil our USA Custom Shop, producing exquisitely crafted, one-of-a-kind collector's banjos handmade in the USA and available exclusively through The Music Link.

Designed & conceived, then hand-engraved, by former Gibson Banjo Custom Shop head Greg Rich, Recording King USA Custom Shop banjos continue the tradition using craftsmen from that era and representing the finest banjo American construction has to offer.

Each Recording King USA Custom Shop banjo is a singular unique piece, with each of these extremely limited edition models being truly custom, with none of the details repeated in future models.

The Avalon is the current Custom Shop model, combining countless hours of hand-made effort with parts unmatched in quality.

The Avalon features a curly maple neck with a radiused ebony fingerboard, deco block inlays, and hand inlaid headstock pearlwork. It is painstakingly assembled with classic American-made 24K gold-plated top tension hardware, including a return to the historic top-tension resonator – featuring a true one-piece, handcarved maple resonator back.

Sonically, it is powered by a Recording King Mastertone-style tone ring, and a hand-turned, hand fit 3-ply maple rim. Greg Rich himself hand-engraves the armrest and tailpiece with artwork unique to the character of each Custom Shop banjo.
