Crate unveiled two bass amps for customers at Summer NAMM in Nashville. The BX50DLX and BX25DLX models contain a fully-chromatic tuner located on the top of the unit. It's useful for any tuning including the low B on a 5 or 6 string bass.

The amps also boast a sub-octave feature that enhances the note played with an additional tone one octave below the original note. This feature is fully variable and the level is controlled with a knob on the front of the amp; it's also foot-switchable.

In addition, both units feature a distortion channel that includes a "Gain" control for amount of distortion, "Shape", to control the tone of the distortion, and "Level" to adjust the output of the distortion channel relative to the clean channel. Switching between the clean channel and the distortion channel is achieved through either a front panel switch or footswitch (included on the BX50DLX).

The amps are designed primarily for rehearsal, recording or small, live venue performance. The amps also include the Crate 5-year transferable warranty.
