Silent Bass Makes Debut at Winter NAMM Show
By Guest |
Yamaha's Band & Orchestral Division unveiled the SVB-200SK Silent Bass at Winter NAMM 2004. The new Silent Bass is a new addition to the Silent String family.
The second generation Silent Bass improves upon the original design of the unique electric upright by making it more portable. The bass is shorter in length without sacrificing string length, and the detachable frame is smaller and more compact than the original.
The Silent Bass can easily be amplified and heard in large volume situations, while combining the 'punch' or energy of an electric bass with the crisp tonal qualities of an acoustic upright.
The bass will be available in April with an MSRP of $2,995.
