NAMM: S-1 Switch Added to Jazz Bass

Featuring Fender's new S-1 switching system, the American Series Jazz Bass is can provide you with both J Bass and P Bass tones without changing instruments. With the S-1 switch engaged, the pickups go from parallel to series giving the bass a fatter, beefier, almost humbucking sound similar to a P Bass guitar.

These new basses come in new finishes and feature a solid alder or ash body (depending on color) and a graphite-reinforced, modern "C"-shaped maple neck with a satin polyurethane finish (available with maple or rosewood fingerboard). Available finishes include 3-Color Sunburst, 2-Color Sunburst, Black, Sunset Orange Transparent, Chrome Red, Butterscotch Blonde, and Chrome Silver.
