The new GAXB150 is even less expensive than Ibanez' popular GSR100 (reputed to be the "best selling Ibanez anything of all time"). For smaller sized players and students, the GAXB150 features a shorter 32" scale and simple controls--just one volume and a 3-way tone switch which make it easy for beginners to dial in tones. The AXB150 features an alder body and is available in Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Red finishes.

While many Ibanez basses are based on the signature Ibanez Soundgear shape (including Ibanez' previously lowest priced bass, the GSR100), the new GAXB150 is the first bass by Ibanez to be patterned after the crystal cut, double cutaway AX shape, one of the most popular Ibanez guitar bodies.
