  • 13-Pin Access Added to Brian Moore's i2000 Series Basses

    By Guest |

Brian Moore Guitars is expanding its i2000 Series bass line at the 2002 Nashville NAMM show.

Model i4.13 ($2,195) and Model i5.13 ($2,395) are both "iGuitar Equipped" and feature the RMC piezo/13-pin output, allowing the bassist access to the latest Roland V-Bass and wave pedal technology. Each bass comes with three separate outputs; magnetic, piezo acoustic and 13-pin, allowing a wide range of tonal possibilities.

A piezo volume knob allows the bassist to blend the RMC piezo output with the standard magnetic pickups and/or 13-pin output. Each instrument comes with a stereo "Y" cable so the piezo signal can be sent to a separate acoustic amplifier or `full range' system.

Like the iGuitar, there is a separate 13-pin volume control, a step switch to change patches from the bass, and a 'bass/both/13pin' switch to select the 13-pin output.

The i4.13 and i5.13 come standard with Bartolini pickups and feature the comfort contoured body with a figured maple top, three piece neck thru design with ivoroid binding, sculpted headstock, and rear output jacks.

According to Brian Moore Guitars president, Patrick Cummings, "Bass players have been asking for this since we introduced the iGuitar at the 2000 NAMM show. We wanted to wait until there was a processor designed for bassists. The i4.13 and i5.13 basses are incredibly versatile instruments and are the perfect companion to the new Roland V-Bass."
