Members LeeT
My Yorkville Powermax 22 channel is the backbone of the band. Last week after hooking everyhting up. I had no sound from amp A which we use for mains, stage right. Everything else worked fine. EXCEPT the yellow pilot light for amp A was on full. It is just left of the main power pilot light in the top right of the mixer. I suspect shorted output transistor/s. Anyone want to offer an opinion ? I have done some electronic repair like replacing power amp transistors and rectifier diodes, but I am no expert.
Members LeeT
It turns out that 2 output transistors and a few other related parts were fried. My tech replaced them and the board worked for about 2 hours. Next time I powered it up, the same amp died again. My tech took another look and the amp kept blowing output transistors. He can't nail down the cause. Any advice what to look for ?
