Members mr_sooty Posted November 24, 2007 Members Share Posted November 24, 2007 I just did this mod, actually completely desoldered the C4 so I could put it back in if I needed to. Like I said, I wasn't getting any volume drop before, so I really did this out of curiosity. I haven't noticed any difference at all. So they must've changed something in the newer versions as some you guys have suggested, but it's not the C4 that they've changed! Really makes me wonder what the heck that capasitor is there for in the first place, as it seems to have a negative effect in older versions of the pedal, and no effect at all in newer ones. Members cloudscapes Posted November 24, 2007 Members Share Posted November 24, 2007 caps are used as filters, so while you might not notice a huge difference, I assure you it's unlikely it's there for no reason. itm giht depend on the setup, if it's wallwart powered or not, settings, etc..
