Members Untraceable
http://news.harmony-central.com/Product-news/VHT-Changes-Name.html seems like that was the plan
Members El Grinder
Didn't realize that the name VHT was sold to another company in the transition... Granted, if the owner wanted his name on the brand, that's cool, but it saddens me to see that $$ was one of the motivations for the change. Members Repner
Hmm. I don't see why not. Could always email and ask. Assuming the name is the only thing they change, that is
Members Scottywompas
Fryette is making all the same stuff he made under the VHT name. I saw the power amps at NAMM. The "new" VHT stuff is really different. Not at all in line with the real stuff. If selling the VHT name means Steve can still make really great amps then so be it. It has happened to a lot of great companies. Remember a little deal back in the 60's between Leo Fender and RCA. Leo went on to produce some great gear with G&L. Steve will continue to produce great amps with the Fryette name on them. Scott
