It was a wine bar and the owner told me he would give me part of the wine tasting money. He gave me three bucks and told me he took my wifes drinks out of my pay. When I got home my wife told me he made a big deal about giving the "The Virgin" (her first time there) at wine tasting on the house. He sold wine tasting at $15 a pop and there were atleast 20 people there so that is $300 and they all bought more wine to take home. Lesson learned. I won't go back and I will start using contracts. I have been gigging in the area for almost two years with my rock band and all deals have been verbal and honored. Never had an issue before. The good. Then follow that up by "I'll pass this along to all my other fellow musicians out there".
