I think this is Moog Music's first foray into software. I wonder if they wrote it themselves, or farmed it out? I wonder if there is more music software in Moog's future?

It is not standalone software. It is a software editor for their newest piece of hardware the MIDI MuRF. You can customize settings and recall them instantly via your computer (rather than having memorize them and switch them on the fly in a live setting) and make your filter sequences and load your own patterns on to the MuRF replacing the factor ones. Very cool.

 

Moog has been really awesome lately with increasing the functionality of their gear. The CV out mod on the Little Phatty just came out and the upcoming update to the operating system for their CV/MIDI control pedal will increase it functionality by allowing it to act as MIDI note to CV converter....

That looks like a cool setup for the Murf.

 

I'm still waiting for Moog to rebox their Moogerfoogers into Eurorack modules with front panel I/Os. Plus add a single and double oscillator module. And while I'm at it, a mono and 6 note poly CV keyboard.

I really want a MIDI Murf.

Moogerfoogers are an expensive habit.

So I am currently playing with this software, controlling the MIDI MuRF. It is cool, very cool indeed.
