For sale: Steinberger L2 bass, serial number 0033, made on 9/28/81, $2200.

According to a web site listing Steinberger serial numbers (http://www.steinbergerworld.com/serial-L.html) this bass was originally owned by Gregg Chaisson. It was later purchased by Ed Ravenscroft of Chaiton Studios in Paridise Valley AZ, and then sold to Andy Seagle, Ed's principal engineer, when Ed left the recording business and sold all his equipment to Andy. I recently bought it from Andy.

It has been in a smoke free studio for the last 25+ years and has been used on about 15-20 recording sessions.

It is in good condition and has all the pieces, knee rest, back plate, gig bag. It has a small, ~1/2" chip out of the paint where the headstock would be on a Fender-style bass, and a small crack in the side of the neck where the headstock would be on a Fender-style bass. It has light scratches where you would expect to find them on a 28 year old bass.
