Yamaha Updates PM1D System Software

Yamaha announced the availability of System Software Version 1.5 for the PM1D Digital Mixing System at the AES convention. The package contains operational enhancements and new expansion capabilities, plus unique feature sets specifically designed for theatrical and broadcast applications.

Operational enhancements include Global Paste, Auto Mix Minus, an improved Patch Screen and DCA Mute Indication. Expansion capabilities include Dual Console Mode, System Cascade and Remote MIDI Control Change operation.

"Yamaha has been listening to its customers and paying close attention to how the PM1D is being used," states Marc Lopez, product manager, Commercial Audio. "The addition of System Software V1.5 will expand the functionality of the product, for any application."

Current PM1D owners can receive the free upgrade through authorized Yamaha Commercial Audio dealers. "In a relatively short amount of time, the PM1D has come to be an accepted component in the sound reinforcement, broadcast and theater markets," states Larry Italia, general manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio. "System Software Version 1.5 gives the PM1D even more versatility and power."
