Yamaha Corporation of America expands on its popular FG line of acoustic guitars with the debut of the FG502 and FG502M at Winter NAMM 2001. Constructed for the working musician that demands both quality and value, these models boast solid wood construction at an approachable price.

"The FG line has enjoyed worldwide popularity for years," notes David Bergstrom, director of marketing, Combo Group, Pro Audio & Combo Division. "These new solid-wood models maintain the playability and workmanship the series is known forwith even better tone."

Each model features a solid Mahogany back and sides, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, and high-grade chrome tuners. The FG502 has a solid Spruce top for a traditional full-bodied tone, while the FG502M's top is constructed of solid Mahogany, a premium wood known for its mellow richness. Dreadnought body shapes deliver a blend of volume, power, and timbral balance that most players demand. Both models will be available in March 2001.
