  • Walden Introduces The Eco-Friendly, Sustainable Madera CG4070-CERT Model

    By Guest |

Walden is proud to introduce its Madera line Grand Auditorium body CG4070-CERT. Built from 100% FSC-Pure certified tonewoods, this sustainable wood guitar enables musicians to make purchasing decisions that benefit our environment and take part in reducing the over consumption of world resources. With a suggested retail of USD1,699, the all-solid WALDEN MADERA CG4070-CERT is the most affordable sustainable wood acoustic guitar in the world. "100% certified FSC-Pure means that these instruments are constructed entirely of woods originating from sustainably managed forests. Our FSC Chain-of-Custody requires that Walden track all FSC woods through the building process and operates in an ethical way," states Jonathan Lee, Chief Designer behind Walden Guitars. "In our eco-friendly Madera line, it was a natural choice to start with a Grand Auditorium body. Walden's G body is one of the most popular acoustic body shapes. It is a more comfortable shape to play than a dreadnought, and has a voice and nut width that that is well suited for finger-stylists." The Walden Madera CG4070-CERT is a Grand Auditorium body, natural color, gloss finished acoustic guitar. It is constructed from traditional guitar tonewoods that are certified sustainably forested: FSC-Pure Western Red Cedar, certified FSC-Pure solid Central American Mahogany, and certified FSC-Pure Central American Katalox. It has a 1-3/4" wide bone nut and a compensated bone saddle. The CG4070-CERT is tastefully trimmed with faux-tortoiseshell binding and an abalone two-ring rosette. Madera line instruments can be recognized by a distinctive, pearl, headstock embellishment shaped like "¿¿¿", the Chinese character for wood.
