  • Veillette Guitars Presents the Gryphon 6

    By Guest |

Long recognized for unique and useful new guitar concepts, Veillette Guitars is proud to introduce the Gryphon 6-string – the latest new tool for broadening musical horizons through innovative instrument design.

The new 6-string version retains the sparkling high-end sheen and mandolin-like punch of the original Gryphon, along with added clarity, note separation, and precision that are perfect for fingerstyle playing, doubling a standard instrument, or adding sweetness and character to any recording or performance.

The Gryphon 6 shares the same 18.5” scale and tuning as the original Gryphon 12.  Tuned to D (equivalent to the 10th fret of a standard guitar), the Gryphon instruments are designed to expand the range of textures and tones available to the creative guitarist.  Because string-to-string intervals are the same as those on a standard instrument, the Gryphon has no learning curve – just pick it up and play!

Gryphon players include Dave Matthews, Kaki King, Mike McCready, James Taylor, John Mayer, David Torn, Neal Schon, Colin Hay, and Keller Williams.

Veillette Guitars are handmade in Woodstock, NY.  With full custom-shop flexibility, almost any special request can be accommodated.

MSRP: $3400 including D-Tar Wavelength piezo/preamp system and molded hardshell case.
