    By Guest |

Universal Audio, a manufacturer of high-quality vintage audio hardware and DSP Powered Plug-Ins for digital audio workstations, today announced the release of the UAD-2 Omni, a comprehensive package including all thirty-four UAD-2 Powered Plug-Ins accompanying either a Duo or more powerful Quad DSP card. UA's Powered Plug-In library brings the most sonically revered studio processors from the past 50 years of audio to DAWs, including vintage equalizers and compressors, superior precision mastering tools, special effects processing, lush reverbs, and the most accurate, officially licensed hardware emulations from Neve, Roland, Boss, SPL, Moog, and more. The UAD-2 Duo Omni has an MSRP of $4249 price and the UAD-2 Quad Omni has an MSRP of $4999, offering savings of up to $2,200 vs. buying the plug-ins individually. Both Duo Omni and Quad Omni are available in stores now.

Universal Audio is including the new Harrison 32C EQ and the Little Labs IBP with every new OMNI purchased and registered by March 31st 2009.

At the heart of the UAD-2 Omni are multiple cutting-edge SHARC 21369 floating-point processors which allow for larger, more sophisticated processing algorithms, and a level of power and complexity not found with host-based plug-ins. By reducing the burden on the computer's CPU, the host application can now deliver more tracks, automation, virtual instruments and native effects.
