  • Tascam Updates USB 2.0 Interfaces

    By Guest |

TASCAM has updated its best-selling US-122L, US-144 and US-1641 with new drivers and Steinberg's latest workstation software, Cubase LE4. The 1.01 drivers support Apple's Mac OS X Leopard operating system and improve performance at 88.2k and 96kHz sampling rates. The bundled Cubase LE4 recording software built on Steinberg's latest 32-bit audio engine, compatible with plug-in synths and samplers and with up to 64 audio tracks. The two updates make TASCAM's interfaces an even better value.

TASCAM's US-1641 is a 16-in, 4-out audio interface with 8 mic ins and six line ins. It utilizes USB 2.0 technology — 20% faster than FireWire 400 — for maximum channel count at minimal cost. The US-122L is the latest version of TASCAM's portable stereo audio interface. Also employing USB 2.0 technology, the sturdy metal case and low-profile knobs are ideal for high-quality portable recording. The US-144 adds additional monitoring and a pair of S/PDIF digital inputs and outputs.
