  • String Letter Publishing Announces Relaunch of Two Guitar Brands As Digital-Only Products

    By Guest |

String Letter Publishing, the San Rafael, California-based music media company, today announced the relaunch of both Play Guitar!, which serves beginning and recreational guitarists, and Guitar Teacher, which serves educators and teaching performers, as monthly digital-only products with supporting websites, beginning July 1, 2007.

"E-mail and the internet are demonstrating increasing value as great delivery platforms for highly specialized content," said String Letter's founder and Publisher, David A. Lusterman, "and we plan to significantly expand our portfolio of digital services during the coming years. Converting Play Guitar! and Guitar Teacher to this format is the perfect formula for delivering appropriate content to our highly committed readers, at appropriate prices for our specialty advertisers."

At the same time, the company announced its plans to further invest in the growth and development of its flagship brand, Acoustic Guitar, the only monthly magazine and website dedicated solely to serving the needs of acoustic guitarists and guitar enthusiasts. "For nearly 20 years, Acoustic Guitar has been at the center of the acoustic music community, serving everyone from developing players to seasoned professionals, with a solid core of hobbyists who show a lifelong commitment to guitar," said Mr. Lusterman.

The magazine is expanding its print and digital service to both the recreational and professional reader; the former with more accessible instructional content, and the latter with increased coverage of high-end instruments, stage and studio gear, and professional development topics.
