Harman Music Group (HMG) has announced delivery of the RPx400. The RPx400 is designed for the performing guitarist who also wants to record. In addition to providing a palette of DigiTech modeling effects, the RPx400 includes a USB port which streams 24-bit audio to and from a computer recording system and allows primary recording operations to be controlled by the processor's foot pedals. RPx400 ships with Pro-Tracks multi-track recording software for computers running the Windows operating system. In addition to the range of amp, cabinet and pickup modeling effects, distortions, delays, reverbs and modulation effects, the RPx400 offers 40 new Artist presets designed by top performing / recording guitarists.

The RPx400 is a modeling effects processor that allows seamless transition for the guitarist between live performance and recording applications. The USB computer interface simultaneously streams four processed and unprocessed guitar, microphone and line level signals to the recording computer, while receiving a stereo mix back from the computer. DigiTech collaborated with Cakewalk to develop Pro-Tracks software which provides 24-bit multitrack recording, mixing and MIDI sequencing. Utilizing a custom software interface, the RPx400 foot-pedals can control primary computer-recording functions such as arming of tracks, execution of record, play, stop commands, providing hands-free operation, allowing the musician to concentrate on the performance.

The RPx400 has a $299.95 MAP (minimum advertised price).
