  • Pipeloops Releases Schyven/van Bever Organ Sample Set

    By Guest |

This sample set for Hauptwerk brings the sound of a large romatic cathedral organ to your studio or home. It comprises more than sixty individual stops and combinations, ranging from the softest flutes to the full and glorious Tutti of this well known pipe organ.

The library is based on the previously released SOS-2 (Symphonic Organ Samples) library for Gigastudio by Peter Ewers. For the new Hauptwerk version all samples have been completely reprocessed from the tapes resulting in a remarkable improvement in sound quality over the original release. The samples include the full natural reverb of the building, up to six seconds long. The release samples are triggered on key release.

This sample sets uses the multiple release layer technique pioneered by Hauptwerk, allowing accurate rendering of the room accoustics. In addition to the full recorded reverb tail for long notes we have created special release samples for staccato notes using convolution reverb. Two levels of such release samples have been created using convolution with an impulse response designed to closely match the natural reverb of the cathedral.

    Features:

    • Sample library for Hauptwerk™ of the Schyven / van Bever organ of Notre-Dame de Laeken
    • Includes more than sixty individual stops and combinations on three manuals and pedal
    • Uses four samples per octave
    • Samples in 16bit/44100Hz/stereo
    • Includes full natural release plus two levels of artificially created release tails for staccato notes
The sample set can be purchased online from the Pipeloops website. Several demo tracks are also available.
