  • Phattie Drums Releases Version 2.1 of the Sounds Like Art Snare Drum Series

    By Guest |

Based on Phattie Drums' Sounds Like Art Series 2 snare drum, version 2.1 expands the available standard options to further allow drummers to make their drum even more one-of-a-kind. The carving has also been slightly modified to include a third highly detailed dragon into the shell.

Maple, Mahogany, Birch, Oak, Ash, Jarrah, Walnut, Cherry, Purple Heart, Padauk, Bubinga, and Rosewood are standard material options. The overall shell thickness has been increased to 1" at the bearing edges with a nominal thickness of 1/2" throughout the carving area increasing power and projection. Each wood can be complimented with a range of finish options from clear lacquer to dyes, or the exclusive Scorched Maple paint jobs.

Solid brass tube lugs and the R2 strainers are standard equipment and available in Chrome, Black, Brass, Scorched Copper, Scorched Silver, and Carbon Black finishes.

MSRP is $2090 for most wood, finish, and hardware configurations. Street price for these models starts around $1249.
