Features of the Special 212 include two 12-inch Sheffield® speakers driving 130 Watts at 8 Ohms (or 200 Watts at 4 Ohms), three footswitchable controls and a footswitchable effects loop. With the Peavey patented T. Dynamics® control, the amp volume can be lowered while still maintaining the desired tone.

This TransTube amp also features presence and resonance controls as well as reverb control. A modern/vintage voicing switch can be found on the clean channel and a high gain/modern/vintage voicing switch on the lead channel. The ultra channel provides an ultra/high gain/boost voicing switch allowing the user to create the sound they desire.
