The Impulse 100P contains a heavy-duty 10-inch long-throw woofer driven by an internal 150-Watt power amp. An internal active crossover network sends frequencies above 2 kHz to the 14XT tweeter: a compression driver with a 1.4-inch titanium diaphragm. Peavey's patented DDT compression system allows users to achieve a clean sound, even under overload condition.

The Impulse 100P also features a durable, consistent molded-in horn, a frequency response range of 80 Hz to 20 Hz and a peak SPL in excess of 121 dB. Spatial alignment of the horn and woofer eliminates the need for phase-alignment or time-delay circuitry to achieve accurate sound reproduction.

For added convenience, each Impulse 100P can be linked to others with 1/4-inch phone jacks. The unit also includes one combined female XLR/1/4" phone jack and one male XLR, wired in parallel for balanced signals.

The enclosure is also available as the non-powered Impulse 100 with passive crossover. An optional kit lets you use either version as a floor monitor. Other powered enclosures in the Impulse series are the Impulse 1012P and the 1015P.
