ToneWorks announces the introduction of its new AX1000G Modeling Signal Processor. This unique multi-effect floor processor features 56 carefully modeled effects based on ToneWorks' proprietary REMS (Resonant structure and Electronic circuit Modeling System) modeling technology. These range from numerous vintage effects including compressor, overdrive, distortion, tape echo, spring reverb, wah, tube amps, fuzz to metallic distortion sounds of the '90's. While ToneWorks has chosen not to include the specific names of companies and their respective effects, those familiar with the originals will quickly recognize them in the AX1000G modeled effects.

ToneWorks' REMS technology also accurately replicates the tone produced by selected vacuum tubes, as well as the resonant characteristics of speaker cabinets. A Cabinet effect provides a wide range of simulations that include both vintage and modern designs, including control of cabinet shape and speaker characteristics. In addition to volume and wah, the expression pedal permits control of eleven types of effects in real-time - such as pitchbend and U-Vibe.

The AX1000G provides instant access to 80 programs - 40 preset and 40 user. A maximum of 8 effects can be utilized simultaneously to create a wide pallet of sounds. In the AX1000G's Individual mode, each effect within a multi-effect chain can be turned on/off separately by a foot switch. In addition to an alphanumeric display and large LEDs, the AX1000G has a bank of knobs, making selecting and editing easy.

The AX1000G also features a Sample & Play function which permits recording and playback of a phrase or solo part up to eight seconds in length. New parts (looping) can be added allowing layering, doubling or harmonies. The sampled sound can be played back, in forward or reverse, with variable speed and the AX1000G can even produce special effects such as "scratching." A Phrase Trainer function, with variable speed and pitch correction, permits recording (up to 16 seconds) from a CD/MD player or cassette. The recorded phrase can be looped for continuous playback or practice.

The AX1000G includes a built-in metronome, plus an onboard auto chromatic tuner which operates automatically when the effect is bypassed or muted, a great convenience for tuning on-stage between songs.

The AX1000G is powered via the included 9V AC adapter.

The AX1000G will be available in Fall of 1999, at a suggested retail price of $299.00.
