New ProSteels Bass Strings from D'Addario
By Guest |
Designed to be extra bright but not harsh-sounding, D'Addario's new ProSteels stainless steel bass strings were years in development, sourcing, testing, and validating the specialized alloy that is the heart of the ProSteels sound.
ProSteels are designed to achieve the grit and growl for rock and metal or the bite and snap needed for funk and modern jazz. Each ProSteel is produced on D'Addario's exclusive, computer-controlled machines, which monitor and control variables in the winding process for consistency, set after set.
To celebrate the launch of ProSteels, DAddario has created a new CD compilation (Bass Lines) of original tracks from some of D'Addario's top bassists, including Dave Ellefson, Oteil Burbrige, Jimmy Haslip, Gary Willis, Michael Manring, Steve Bailey, Mark Egan, Adam Nitti, and more. For a limited time only, one free Bass Lines CD will be included in three of D'Addario's most popular ProSteels 4-string sets.
ProSteels bass strings retail for between $32.99 and $59.99 and will be available in July of 2004.
