Yamaha Corporation of America brings the flexible creativity of its stomp box technology and processing power to acoustic players with the debut of the Magicstomp Acoustic guitar effects processor.

Loaded with sounds and effects for the studio or stage, the Magicstomp Acoustic has been designed for acoustic guitars, but is also effective when used with acoustic/electric instruments and electric string products.

Features include a total of 198 sound programs (99 factory and artist preset/99 user), an automatic feedback eliminator, an integrated chromatic tuner, mic/amp/speaker simulations, interactive software editing and full programmability.

In addition to a line of new effects, the Magicstomp Acoustic includes sounds from Yamaha's classic DG, AG and UD Stomp pedals, plus a number of digital effects from the Yamaha SPX processor family. Full-resolution, 24-bit/96 kHz audio keeps the signal clean and clear, while full 32-bit DSP processing maintains the integrity of multiple effects chains. The user-friendly interface contains a sturdy metallic gold and brushed aluminum housing, an easy-to-read LCD display, a master volume control, three sturdy foot switches (increment/decrement and on/off) and three multi-function, top-mounted parameter knobs.

Preset sounds can be edited and then stored in any of the 99 user locations--in any order--while any three patches can be assigned to the foot switches for instant recall. The editor will allocate any three parameter functions to the control knobs (such as delay time and feedback) for real-time "on the fly" adjustments.

The Magicstomp Acoustic also connects to a MAC or PC computer via USB to allow deep editing of programs. Users can log on to www.magicstomp.com to share or upload their own programs with the Magicstomp community, or to access a constantly-evolving database of artist and end-user patches. Connections include balanced 1/4-in. stereo outputs, power, a USB port and a headphone jack for private monitoring. Accessories include a 9-Volt phantom power supply and USB cable.

The Magicstomp Acoustic carries an MSRP of $299.99, and will be available in November 2004.
