Audio-Technica has completely reengineered its UniPoint Series of professional installed-sound microphones, utilizing audio and mechanical design changes for improved sonic quality, durability, clarity, reliability and ease of installation. Among the changes is the company's new PivotPoint connection technology.
Based on direct feedback from system integrators and engineered for maximum adaptability, most UniPoint boundary models (U851A, U851R, U851RW, U891R, U891RW and U891RC) incorporate the PivotPoint rotating output connector that allows the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone. A-T's PivotPoint connection technology gives the installer the ultimate flexibility when cable exit requirements change and enables repositioning of the microphone without disassembly or the use of special tools. In addition, the U891R, U891RW and U891RC boundary mics also feature programmable switching plus an LED status indicator for a high level of control capability in boardroom and conference applications.
Other new features for the complete range of A-T UniPoint Series hanging, gooseneck, boundary and handheld microphones include UniGuard RFI-shielding innovations for unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference, new interchangeable elements (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine line cardioid condenser), superior off-axis rejection for improved gain before feedback, 80 Hz UniSteep filter for removal of unwanted low frequencies without affecting vocal quality, two-stage foam windscreen for dramatically improved resistance to P-pops and other breath blasts, and much more. With more than 30 new models, the UniPoint line offers something for every acoustical challenge.
