With the A16 Ultra, CreamWare delivers the new generation of the A16 AD/DA converter unit. The A16 Ultra combines state-of-the-art technical specs with the features which made its predecessor so popular.

    Some features include:

    • 24-bit / 96 kHz AD/DA converters
    • 16 inputs and 16 outputs, balanced analog TRS
    • 2 ADAT interfaces
    • S/Mux for ADAT conversion at 96 kHz (8-channels)
    • 2 Z-Link interfaces (16 channels at 24-bit / 96 kHz)
    • Wordclock I/O
    • 16 VU meters for exact signal levelling
    • Very compact: single rack space 19" unit

In addition, various expansion options for the A16 Ultra are planned: An add-in board extends S-Mux functionality to 16 channels. With the USB2 option, the converter serves as an I/O solution for any computer system with a USB2-compliant interface.

Its generous channel count makes the A16 Ultra ideal for use with all I/O cards, digital mixers, and instruments which have an ADAT interface. When used in combination with a CreamWare DSP system with Z-Link I/O, the A16 Ultra can simultaneously transfer all 16 channels at 24-bits / 96 kHz.

The A16 Ultra is scheduled for November availability at a retail price of 1250 Euro net.
