  • Neumann Presents The TLM 103 D Digital Microphone At NAB

    By Guest |

The Neumann TLM 103 D, the next classic microphone to enter the digital realm, will make its debut at the 2008 NAB Show. When used in conjunction with digital workstations, digital Solution-D microphone technology makes life easier for users. The integrated, extremely fast peak limiter guarantees optimal recording levels at all times. Likewise, the Neumann A/D converter built into the microphone eliminates the necessity of tedious experimentation with external converters and preamps.

President of Marketing/Sales, Wolfgang Fraissinet, explains, "This ensures that the legendary Neumann sound is captured unchanged on the user's hard disc, with optimal quality."

The TLM 103 D is available in a choice of satin nickel or matte black finish, with a SG 1 swivel mount. Starter sets are also available, consisting of the microphone, an EA 1 elastic suspension and a connection kit for direct connection to an AES/EBU or S/PDIF input. Pricing details are forthcoming and are anticipated to represent substantial savings when compared with the cost of a large diaphragm condenser microphone with a high-quality pre-amplifier.

The TLM 103 D will be available this spring.
