Soumdcraft want to make live sound easy with the new GigRac integrated mixer/amplifier. Solo performers and small bands alike will its portability and the ease with which microphones, instruments and loudspeakers can be quickly connected.

Setting up a PA with GigRac is simple; only speakers and cables are required to complete the system. Everything one needs is provided, including mic preamps, a two-band EQ on each channel to cope with demanding sources, a seven-band master graphic EQ designed by BSS Audio, and a selection of preset digital effects -- and all this in a package that can be carried over a shoulder.

Two models currently comprise the new line -- the GigRac 300 and 600. The former's integrated 300-watt power amp will easily drive a pair of main speakers, while the latter's dual 300-watt amplifiers can power both a set of mains and stage monitors as well. Both models feature eight input channels, with channels number five through eight being for either mono or stereo sources.

The lid of GigRac's road-ready case is intelligently designed to stow microphones and cables so that everything is easily transportable and kept safe.

For fixed installations, GigRac can be simply removed from its case as a single unit and rack-mounted, taking up 4U of rack space.

    MSRP:

    • GigRac 300 - $429.99
    • GigRac 600 - $649.99
