TC Electronic is welcoming a new developer to the PowerCore platform. UK-based electronic musical instrument manufacturer Novation has developed V-Station|PowerCore, a multi-timbral virtual synthesizer, built on the company's K-Station. V-Station|PowerCore will be shipping in April at EUR 299 retail ex. VAT/GBP 199 RRP.

V-Station|PowerCore comes with three oscillators providing all the classic waveforms, including a sine wave for sub-bass floor-shaking grooves. Liquid Analog filters, 8-voice polyphony per instance, 6 simultaneous effects per instance and phatt sounds only found in a genuine Novation synth, are some of the features included in the V-Station|PowerCore.

All the primary sound-shaping controls are readily available on the main screen and for serious tweaking there are three additional screens providing a wealth of possibilities. An arpeggiator with programmable speed, synchronization and sweep range is available within each instance, enabling comprehensive synchronization of time-based effects.

V-Station|PowerCore ships with 200 factory sounds, covering a huge sonic range from leads to pads, and delicate electric pianos to phatt funky bass.

PowerCore is the open platform DSP engine for professional signal processing for Mac and PC. Its serious processing power seamlessly integrates with any Audio Units- or VST-compatible host application. PowerCore includes ten world-class quality TC plug-ins right out of the box. Optional plug-ins are available from TC and a growing number of respected 3rd-party developers such as Access, Sony, Novation, TC-Helicon, Waldorf and D-Sound. PowerCore is available as a PCI card or external FireWire unit.
