The New Ti Series Components From MC2 Audio Offer Complete Audio Integration Solution With Remote Monitoring & Control Features For Use In Cobranet And/Or Ethersound Systems, Ti Series Is First Collaborative Product Between MC2 and XTA R&D Teams

MC2 Audio will present the New Ti Series Components at InfoComm in Las Vegas (June 18-20, 2008) Booth #4874)

The Ti Series of network audio components, for use in Cobranet and/or Ethersound systems, offers a complete solution to the audio integrator who wants to combine remote monitoring, configuration and control, with the outstanding audio quality and reliability of MC2 Audio amplifiers and XTA digital expertise. The Ti Series is the first fruit of the collaboration between the MC2 and XTA research and development teams since the companies merged in 2007. Group One, Ltd is the exclusive distributor of XTA and MC2 products in the U.S.

"Taking the existing T Series amplifiers as the start point," says XTA/MC2 Sales & Marketing Director Bill Woods, "we have incorporated remote monitoring of output voltage, current, power, protection status and temperature via RS485. We have also added the remote control of bridged/dual mono/stereo modes, level, mute and standby function. Analogue inputs are via XLR and Phoenix Eurostyle connectors as are RS485 comms for control and monitoring. Speaker outputs remain on NL4C Speakon connectors."

Offering total integration, the Ti Series combines remote monitoring and control in one system. The Ti Network Bridge allows control, monitoring and audio to be distributed by either Cobranet or Ethersound via the Ti Network Break-out Box. The Ti Network Bridge and Breakout Boxes come in either 8 or 16 channel versions. The 16 channel version is fitted with Phoenix Eurostyle connects and the 8 channel version can be fitted with either Phoenix Eurostyle or standard XLR connectors.

    Core Ti models include five power amplifiers: Ti 1000 (500W/channel into 4 ohms); Ti 1500 (750W/channel into 4 ohms); Ti 2000 (1000W/channel into 4 ohms); Ti 3500 (1750W/channel into 4 ohms); and the Ti 4-250 (4 x 250W/channel into 4 ohms).

All amplifiers include remote level, mute, standby and load/status monitoring. With a dynamic range in excess of 112 dB the Ti Bridge and Breakout also feature GPIO ports, which can be arranged in any assortment of ways to meet each specific application allowing for "stand alone" reporting of fault conditions, or simple remote control of local level. A simple "locate" facility allows amplifiers and other Ti components to be easily identified and addressed on the network, with the ID being set automatically using a unique serial number IC built into each device. In conjunction with one of the Ti Breakout devices, the system can take care of itself, with the Breakout checking all the connected amplifiers and reporting any problems through the network and/or via a local warning mechanism (logic output and/or user assignable relay).

Utilizing industry leading ADC and DACs, the Network Bridge and Breakout are 1U rack-mount with 5-segment meters, multi-channel GPIO, RS485 bridging and auto sensing power supplies.
