Live Studio Drums Offers New Options

Live Studio Drums, a division of Smart Loops, has expanded its web-based, live drum track recording service by offering musicians and producers three options for its LSD recording sessions: LSD Express, LSD Standard, and LSD Budget.

Launched in December 2003, the Live Studio Drums online service provides custom, multitrack drum recordings for any song, and for any genre. Clients sign up for an LSD session at www.livestudiodrums.com, and with a few simple steps, order custom drum tracks that are performed and recorded to their specifications.

With new LSD Express ($179 per song), clients can get live drum tracks for their song in 24 hours. The LSD Standard ($99 per song) option provides live drum tracks within five business days. And for those not under a tight deadline, LSD Budget ($69 per song) provides live drum tracks within 21 business days.

The LSD online system provides musicians and producers with an affordable, hassle-free way to hire a professional session drummer for any music project. LSD clients don't have to worry about booking studio time, finding a drummer, or tricky microphone setups. They simply log onto the LSD web site, fill out a set-up form to indicate musical genre and technical information, and upload a reference/scratch MP3 of their song.

Clients can specify desired drum sounds, selecting drumsticks or brushes to be used, establishing performance guidelines for the drummer, and even choosing the audio processing for their tracks. Depending on the session option chosen, clients can have live drum tracks for their song in as little as 24 hours.

Once an LSD session is completed, the final multitrack drum recording is posted on the LSD site for the client to download. Clients can also choose to have their LSD drum tracks delivered to them on CD for an additional $19 (includes shipping).
