  • K+H and Sennheiser Offer An Integrated Classroom Audio System

    By Guest |

Sennheiser and Klein+Hummel introduce a jointly developed new solution for wireless sound reinforcement in the classroom. The K+H CAS100 is a self contained, fully integrated unit with two universal option slots compatible with Sennheiser Evolution wireless microphone receivers and the K+H CD player. With a wide range of frequencies available, Evolution wireless is able to support numerous adjacent classrooms without interference between systems. The CAS100 also offers connections for a wired microphone or any other external music or playback source. It may be initially installed to support media playback and later upgraded with wireless microphones when needed. A protective rear cover guards against curious hands while the front panel controls are streamlined and simple to operate.

Klein+Hummel also offers slim and elegant loudspeakers specifically engineered for use with flat panel displays. The CLS-FX series features a built in stereo amplifier with integrated processing for speaker tuning and a virtual bass effect making the loudspeaker sound much larger than it really is. Available in both 2" and 3" driver sizes, the CLS produces an impressively low apparent frequency response. Because this tiny loudspeaker has a line array configuration, the sound can either be contained nicely in front of the display with the loudspeaker in a horizontal position or the sound can be spread out to a wide area with the loudspeaker in a vertical position. The virtual bass illusion is also contained within the coverage pattern of the loudspeaker, providing low frequency control when used in noise sensitive areas such as retail shops or hotel suites. Coupled with K+H loudspeakers the CASS 100 offers a cost effective and simple to use complete classroom audio system.
