  • Joemeek Now Part of PMI Audio Group

    By Guest |

PMI Audio Group announced that they have taken over Joemeek, enabling the company to stay in business after the demise of Fletcher Electro-Acoustics.

"Joemeek is not out of business but Fletcher Electro-Acoustics is," said Alan Hyatt president of PMI Audio Group. "For over eight years I have created the advertising campaigns, created most of the models feature sets, and funded the projects to market. Many of those Joemeek names like, the Meequalizer, the TrackPak, the Meekbox and the Meekrophone were ours. I have invested a lot in Joemeek and I believe in its value. The Joemeek line will continue but it is going through a re-design."

PMI Audio Group hired Allan Bradford, formerly of CLM Dynamics, to redesign the entire line. Based in the UK, Mr. Bradford will oversee the launching of high quality designs in 2003. "The original Joemeek gear was good but now it's time for a new generation of products to consolidate the reputation of the brand," said Mr. Bradford. "As designer of the new Meeks, I'm making significant technical improvements in a number of key areas, most notably the Preamp and the EQ."

"The Joemeek sound will stay the same. The new Joemeek will still be green but it will get an update with thick aluminum anodized panels and new graphics," said Hyatt.
