  • Hiwatt To Debut Custom 7 Range Of Guitar Amps At Winter NAMM

    By Guest |

New from Hiwatt, the Custom 7 range of guitar amplifiers benefits from a single-ended class A design, EL84 power tube and point-to-point hand wiring. Hand-built in the UK and available in both open back combo and head formats, the Custom 7 features heavy duty mains and output transformers, along with two ECC83 tubes in the preamp section. Passive controls include bass and treble with bass and treble active tonework, pull gain boost, master volume, standby and on/off switches. While the head uses a single 16 ohm output to match any Hiwatt speaker cabinet, the combo comes with a single custom Fane 10-inch 16 ohm speaker. Recommended for home and studio use, both models incorporate hi and low sensitivity inputs, along with 110/240 volt operation. All cabinets are constructed from rugged 18 ply.

Also showing at the Winter NAMM Hiwatt booth (#5890) will be the complete Hiwatt Custom Shop Class A Range including bass amps, the Studio/Stage Series, Classic Signature Series Heads, Hi-Gain Series Heads, Hiwatt cabinets and Hiwatt Effects, along with Hiwatt's budget conscious Maxwatt Series.
