The Heavy Electronics Voltage starve circuit (adjusted internally) decreases clipping threshold and adds compression. Adjustable LED brightness to conserve battery life if necessary. Bottom line, this pedal is about tone. The Hwy-77 is highly responsive to both level and gain settings and cleans up with your guitar volume knob. Excellent response at Low gain settings too.
