  • Hammerax™ Launches Bash® Hybrid Bronze Crashers At NAMM 2008

    By Guest |

Hammerax™ is debuting several new products at NAMM 2008 booth #2964 including the Bash® hybrid bronze crashers.

Bash® instruments are hand hammered bronze crashers which are folded during a special tempering process. The patent pending folded design allows two mounting methods- The instrument can be mounted instantly to the arm of a boom stand or cymbal arm clamp with no fasteners. It is left free to sizzle against the tube of the stand and wobble in a very complex way. The result is a rich crashing sound. As the name brand implies, Bash® instruments are very strong. "We are using a new type of patent pending bronze which takes quite a beating — even in a paper thin weight." In this mode of mounting, Bash® crashers can be dropped onto a stand arm which is already holding a splash, bell, or other cymbal. This means that bash in some setups can take up no effective space and require no added hardware to mount.

Another method of mounting arises out of the discovery of a nodal point in the center of the fold — allowing Bash® hybrids to be mounted onto a cymbal stand like a cymbal — through a 1/2" hole drilled in the instrument. The first model in the Bash® brand will be a Paper Thin instrument 14+14 (meaning two 14" sections).
