  • Gretsch Debuts The G6130 Roundup Guitar With Western Leather Trim

    By Guest |

With the western good looks of the original Gretsch solid body models of the mid 1950's, Gretsch® proudly presents the return of the classic G6130 Roundup™ with Western Leather Trim. This beautiful semi-hollowbody instrument, ideal for collectors item and stage-ready guitarists alike, boasts the uncompromising quality and style with which Gretsch is synonymous, and it can be seen and heard for the first time at Gretsch's booth during this summer's NAMM show in Austin, Texas.

The chambered mahogany body on the new G6130 Roundup features an arched maple top with "G" brand on the upper bout, and a western leather trim that is attached with real brass furniture tacks. Aged vintage wide-block pearloid inlay position markers with a motif of cactus, steer heads and fences, multiple aged body bindings, an inlaid Gretsch logo with aged pearloid steer head on the headstock accentuate the Western vibe.

The dual DynaSonic™ single-coil pickups bring out the classic "twang" of a Gretsch, and along with a gold-plated Bigsby® B3GBVN vibrato tailpiece, this guitar evokes the unique sound of the fringed-shirt, honky tonk greats of the 1950s.

Additional features include a rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets, a Synchro-Sonic™ Bridge that allows for individual string length adjustment and perfect string-to-string intonation, Grover® Stay-Tite machine heads, "arrow" knobs, gold plexi pickguard, knurled strap retainer knobs and adjustable truss rod.

And according to Mike Lewis, Marketing Manager for Gretsch, "It's got enough gold hardware to make Fort Knox blush!"

    US MSRP is $3,425.00
