  • GA-40 Guitar/Bass And CA-40 Chromatic Tuners

    By Guest |

Korg introduces the new, compact GA-40 Guitar/Bass and CA-40 Chromatic tuners. Each offers a broad detection range, precise tuning capability and more, at a competitive price.

    Both tuners feature:

    • Large, easy-to-read needle-style LCD.
    • Built-in speaker.
    • Built-in flip stand — allows the tuner to sit upright for convenient viewing.
    • Sound Out function — produces a reference tone through the internal speaker.
    • Output jack — allows the tuner to remain connected during performance for quick tuning.
    • Tuning accuracy of ±1 cent and sound accuracy of ±1.5 cents.
    • Built in, high-sensitivity mic for acoustic instruments.
    • Battery life of approximately 100 hours.
    • Auto Power Off function after 20 minutes of non-use.
    • Memory backup (preserves Calibration and Sound out settings when power is off).

The GA-40 is a 12-note, equal-tempered tuner that features Guitar and Bass tuning modes plus additional reference tones (Low-B for guitar; Low-B and Hi-C for bass) to support tuning for 7-string guitars and 6-string basses. It provides a wide detection range of B0 (23.12 Hz) to B6 (1975.54 Hz). The "Quinta Flat" mode allows up to five semitones of flat tuning, for use with baritone guitars and today's heavy metal styles.

The CA-40 Chromatic Tuner is a 12-note, equal-tempered tuner. It offers reference tones from C4 to C5 (one octave) and an expansive detection range of A0 (27.50 Hz) to C8 (4186.01 Hz). Featuring Meter (auto) and Sound (manual) tuning modes, the CA-40 can be calibrated from 410 to 480 Hz in 1 Hz steps.

For wind instruments, convenient markings on the CA-40's display enable the user to slightly adjust the pitch of a major or minor third relative to the equal-tempered third to create harmonies that sound more in tune to the ear.

    Each tuner measures a compact 3.94" (W) x 2.64" (D) x 0.67" (H) and weighs only 3.10 oz. (with included batteries).
