Four Striking New Bubinga Beauties Join the Vintage Bass Stable

Vintage have announced a new series of basses to join the ranks of their hugely popular bass range.

The Bubinga Series compromises of four Trev Wilkinson-designed models, all featuring his highly regarded  pickups and hardware, and built to handle playing all then way from  bedroom to festival stages.

First up is the passive Vintage V8004B (£299  UK RRP) which has an eastern poplar body with 6mm Bubinga top, a  bolt-on hard maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. A pair of  authentically voiced split Wilkinson WBP pickups  are matched with a WBJ at the bridge position, giving you a full  spectrum of classic bass guitar sounds via dedicated tone and volume  controls. Wilkinson designed the WBBC and WJB650 bridge and machineheads  to ensure perfect intonation and tuning stability.  The Vintage V9004B (£399 UK RRP) features the same basic spec as the V80004B, but with the added appeal of active electronics, and a 5-piece  laminated bolt-on neck of maple and nato.

Next in the series is the V10004B (£499 UK RRP). With its 5-piece laminated maple/nato through neck  design, a beautiful Bubinga top on a mahogany body, plus a pair  of high output Wilkinson designed MWJH4 active humbucking pickups, the  V10004B is truly a force to be reckoned with spec-wise and more than  able to hold its own in any situation. For five-string aficionados, the V10005B (£519 UK RRP) has the same spec as its four-string brother, but with a low B string for those room-rattling low notes.
