  • FM Series Amplifier Lineup Expands

    By Guest |

Great tone and solid value are the basic ideas behind Fender's recently introduced FM Series of guitar amplifiers. Designed to be reliable, workhorse amps with tasteful modern features, the new FM Series comprises nine models, ranging from compact practice amps to a punchy half-stack.

The FM Series begins with several rockin', tone-rich solid-state models—the FM 65R, 210R and 212R. These channel-switching amplifiers pump out pure Fender sound through Fender Special Design Drivers—a single 12" in the 65R, two 10" in the FM210R, and two 12" in the FM212R—complemented by genuine spring Reverb. FM65RThey offer straightforward tone controls perfect for dialing in everything from funk to blues to metal, and a no-nonsense vibe and robust construction ready for years of abuse on the road.

The FM Series steps up with an expanded group of flexible, feature-rich DSP models: the FM 15 DSP, FM 25 DSP, FM 65 DSP, and FM 212 DSP. These amps incorporate Fender's proprietary digital signal processing to deliver a wide range of classic and modern tones and effects, controllable via simple, no-frills interfaces. Whether it's a classic Tweed or Blackface, a British combo or stack, a Hot Rod, Metalhead™ or jazz combo, guitarists can simply twist a knob and dial in one of 16 amp models and a suitable effect for the song at hand. No owners manual needed!

The FM Series DSP models range from 15-watt and 25-watt practice amps with a single 8" Special Design speaker or 10" Special Design speaker, respectively, to the 65-watt 65 DSP combo with 12" speaker and 100-watt 212 DSP two-channel combo with dual-12" speakers at the top of the range.

At the top end of the FM Series is the FM 100H and FM 412SL, a 100-watt solid-state half stack and companion 4 x 12" speaker cabinet offering legendary Fender quality, flexibility and simplicity at an unreal price. With its "Drive/More Drive" channel and Mid Contour switch, this powerful amplifier roars with fantastic distortion tones—perfect for rock, blues, punk and metal—as well as the famous Fender "clean" tone that rings loud and clear, especially when combined with our onboard spring Reverb.

"The FM Series brings great Fender tone and simplified design to the widest possible range of players," commented Fender Amplifier Marketing Manager Shane Nicholas. "We're proud of the sound, features, and outstanding value this amplifier range brings to the table."

The FM Series amps are available now.
