    By Guest |

"Girl rock nation" empowers young women to rock!

Girl Rock Nation was kicked-off by Fender Musical Instruments Corp. during a launch party on July 22 at Los Angeles's GRAMMY Museum, empowering women of all ages to participate in music whether they play, produce, compose or simply listen to music.

The event featured Allison Robertson (guitarist, The Donnas), Alicia Warrington (drummer, The All-Girl Boys Choir and The Gore Gore Girls), Mona Tavakoli (drummer, Raining Jane) and Radical Classical (Classical guitarist/vocalist), and was moderated by Carla DeSantis, a leading advocate for women in rock. During the party, the panel provided valuable insight, support, encouragement and a unifying message to more than 100 attendees, promoting Girl Rock Nation as a place to inspire and motivate women and girls of all musical styles and abilities.
