  • Ernie Ball Introduces Titanium-Coated Slinky Electric Strings

    By Guest |

In January, at the 2008 Winter NAMM show, Ernie Ball/ Music Man introduced its revolutionary titanium-coated acoustic strings, for the first time offering plain strings the same protection as wound strings. Now, at the 2008 Summer NAMM show, Ernie Ball is introducing its patented coated Titanium RPS technology to electric strings, providing the same cure for problematic weakness and breakage and offering strings that resist buildup and provide a clear, crisp tone gig after gig.

Similar to the titanium-coated Slinky acoustics, these new strings feature triple protection: an exclusive protective coating on both the wrap wire and the plain strings as well as a patented winding of titanium wire around the lock twist of the ball end. And as has always been the case with Ernie Ball, the titanium-coated Slinky electrics are also made with the finest and freshest raw materials, in line with the company's rich heritage of superb craftsmanship and quality.

"We spent quite a bit of time on developing our brand new line of Titanium RPS Coated Electric strings, and couldn't be more excited to launch these to guitar players worldwide," said Brian Ball of the Ernie Ball Company. "Our brand new string line protects all six strings from rust and breakage due to our exclusive coating on the wound strings, and patented titanium wire on the plain strings. Additionally, these new strings are hermetically sealed in our brand new Element Shield packaging, ensuring that the strings stay as fresh as the day they were made."

Be sure to check out these and other Ernie Ball products at booth #1600 of the 2008 Summer NAMM show, taking place June 20-22 in Nashville, Tenn.
