Eventide has released version 2.5 of the Eclipse operating system. Immediately available for free download from www.eventide.com, and shipping resident in new units, the new operating system adds two new algorithms and a host of new presets to augment the Eclipse's already powerful array of effects.

In addition to the new Vintage Delay and Stereo Simulator algorithms, many of the most requested H3000 presets have been added, and some great new presets as well. The new Eclipse v2.5 operating system also includes numerous performance enhancements, not the least of which is the near-instantaneous program change which is sure to please performing musicians, as well as front-of-house engineers.

A new utility has been added to v.2.5 to copy presets to new locations, effective for backing up and restoring operations between the processor's internal RAM and Compact Flash. Eventide has improved the ergonomics of the modulation editing screens so end users can easily adjust modulation parameters quickly and intuitively.

The Eventide Eclipse is built on a dual-engine platform that is configurable in series, parallel, stereo or dual mono. It offers five times the processing power of its predecessor, Eventide's H3000 Ultra-Harmonizer in a package half the size. The Eclipse is the replacement for the H3000 and includes many of the most popular effects, which have become standard production tools over the last fifteen years.
