DoReMIR Launches Major Update for ScoreCleaner Music Notation Software
By Guest |
DoReMIR Music Research announces a major update for the music notation software ScoreCleaner – the highly nuanced and easy-to-use notation software that has been revolutionizing the market for digital notation since 2011.
“We’ve received a lot of feedback from our users and in this version of ScoreCleaner we’ve added most of the functionality asked for to match our larger, established competitors in the segment. We don’t want any users to feel forced to pick one tool or the other, or for users to not find what they expect of a full-bodied notation software,” says Founder and Professor Sven Ahlbäck from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
ScoreCleaner is a notation tool that enables musicians, composers, teachers, and ensemble leaders to notate music instantly while they play. “Our goal was to design a software which is at the service of music and people, not the other way around,” says Sven Ahlbäck.
The technology behind ScoreCleaner is built on academic research in music cognition, which seeks to explain how humans understand music on a basic level. From that research DoReMIR has designed a piece of software that understands musical phrasing and artistic intent.
